Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive

- Further to reports that the European Commission Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment may be further delayed, when is it now due for implementation.

The Government announced on 15 December 2005 that it would be reviewing progress on the implementation of the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and undertaking a public consultation on its proposals for this during the spring of 2006 before transposing the main provisions of the directive into UK law.
