Quality Management and Analysis System

Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the prevalence of disease data collected through the quality management and analysis system was for each quarter for which data are available for (a) England, (b) each region and (c) each primary care trust area.

Answer: The information is not available in the form requested.Information from the quality management and analysis system is published on an annual basis by the NHS Health and Social Care Information Centre (NHS HSCIC). Data for the latest year, 2004–05, at England, strategic health authority and primary care trust level is available on the NHS HSCIC website at www.ic.nhs.uk/services/qof/data/It is expected that information for 2005–06 will be available in the summer of 2006.
