Patientline Contract

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health pursuant to the answer of 4 July 2005, Official Report, column 226W, on the Patientline Contract, what monitoring her Department has carried out on the (a) pricing policies and (b) profits of Patientline.
Answer

[holding answer 30 January 2006]: I refer the right hon. Member to the ministerial statement made on 19 January 2006, Official Report, column 33WS.Patientline is contracted by national health service trusts to supply a service for patients. The detail of and the performance against the contact is a matter for the trusts.
