Prosecutions (Suicide)

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many prosecutions have been brought under section 2(1) of the Suicide Act 1961 in each year since 1976.

Data from the Court Proceedings Database held by the Office for Criminal Justice Reform shows the number of defendants proceeded against at magistrates courts for aiding or abetting suicide under section 2 of the Suicide act 1961 in England and Wales from 1976 to 2004.
