The information is not available. There is no central record to identify what proportion of teachers reported to the Department for Education and Skills by the police since 1997 have been included on list 99.The Department is not routinely informed of all convictions and cautions incurred by teachers. The Police do not report convictions or cautions for minor offences or traffic offences to the Department. They only report those for offences which call into question the person's suitability to teach or work with children where they know that the person is a teacher or is working with children.
