- To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress has been made in imposing targeted sanctions in Sudan; and if he will make a statement.

The Panel of Experts established under UN Security Council Resolution 1591 presented their report and recommendations to the Sanctions Committee on 23 December 2005. Discussions on the Panel's recommendations, including on the imposition of sanctions on individuals, continue in the Sanctions Committee in New York. We are pressing for swift action on the Panel's recommendations.
