Criminal Records Bureau

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many applications were made to the Criminal Records Bureau for (a) enhanced and (b) standard checks in the last year for which figures are available.

I refer my hon. Friend to the answer given on 8 February 2006, Official Report, column 1268W. In 2005, the Bureau received 293,615 standard disclosures and 2,443,207 enhanced disclosures.
