EU Sugar Regime

- To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has received on the effects of reform of the EU sugar regime on African, Caribbean and Pacific sugar producers.

The Governments of sugar producing countries have made their concerns about the effect of the EU sugar reform clear. Specific representations were made to my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary during his visit to Jamaica in October 2005 and to my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in November 2005.
