To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people (a) were successful in applying for a visa to enter the UK and (b) failed in their visa application in (i) 2003, (ii) 2004 and (iii) 2005.

I have been asked to reply.Details of successful and unsuccessful visa applications in the requested years are as follows:
