Therapeutic and Recovery Services
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Health what therapeutic and recovery services are available in (a) West Yorkshire, (b) Wakefield District and (c) Normanton constituency for under 16s who have suffered abuse or neglect.
- Answer
-
Care for under-16s who have suffered abuse or neglect in the Wakefield district, including Normanton, is provided using a multi-agency approach. Led by social care, this involves staff from Eastern Wakefield Primary Care Trust's child protection, community paediatric, health visiting, school nursing and child and adolescent mental health services as appropriate. These teams work with social care and education to deliver care and support based on the individual needs of the patient.
