Business question from Lord Young of Cookham (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 25 May 2006. It occurred during Business statement on Business of the House.
Business of the House
May we have a debate in Government time before the summer recess on Iraq and Afghanistan, where the position remains difficult? It is some time since we had a proper debate on that subject. Will the Leader of the House arrange for the Prime Minister to introduce the debate and the Foreign Secretary to wind it up on the Adjournment so that the Government can take the mood of the House?
