1911 Census

Question
To ask the Minister of State, Department for Constitutional Affairs what discussions her Department has had with genealogy and family history organisations on releasing information from the 1911 census on a section-by-section basis.
Answer

The National Archives (TNA), has held discussions with genealogy and family history organisations on TNA’s plans for the digitisation and release of the 1911 census, in order to ensure that the end product meets user needs. These groups will continue to be consulted regularly.
