Drug Classification Review
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when his Department will put the drug classification review document out for consultation; and if he will make a statement.
- Answer
-
Since coming into post the Home Secretary has not had the opportunity to decide how to proceed with the matter. In any event, it is sensible to take into account the conclusions drawn by the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee in its inquiry into ““Scientific advice, risk and evidence: how Government handles them”” which is using the classification of illegal drugs as one of its case studies.
