Hospitals (Cornwall)

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will ensure that the next edition of ‘Choosing Your Hospital’ for the West and Central Cornwall primary care trusts includes full descriptions of each of the three hospitals within the Royal Cornwall Hospitals' Trust including their records for cases of (a) MRSA and (b) inpatient waits.
Answer

It is expected that the next edition of the ‘Choosing Your Hospital’ booklet will include descriptions of each hospital within a hospital trust as well as performance indicators. The performance indicators in the booklet are likely to include information on meticillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus bacteraemia reports and waiting times. Performance indicators will be based on Healthcare Commission information.
