Motorcycling

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what estimate he has made of the cost to local authorities of purchasing specialist equipment to tackle the issue of motorcyclists not carrying a front number plate on their motorcycles.

No such estimate has been made. Motorcyclists are not required to have front number plates on their vehicles, but enforcement of any offences committed by those who do not would be a matter for the police. It is not clear what specialist equipment might be of help to them in tackling such offending.
