- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received on the effect of Bulgarian and Romanian migrants on the UK skills shortage.

A number of representations have been received concerning labour market access for nationals of new, and future, member states of the European Union. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department set out the Government’s policy on restricting access to the UK labour market in a written ministerial statement on 24 October.
