Government Social Research Service

Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what the cost was of the Government Social Research Service in his Department in each of the last five years; how many projects have been completed by the service in that period; and how many people are employed in the service in his Department.

Answer

The total cost of the Government Social Research Service since the Department for Transport was established in May 2002 is estimated as follows:

During this period 64 projects have been completed. The Department employs 15 Government Social Research Service staff.
