Marketing Sector

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what the annual turnover of the British marketing sector was in each year between 1990 and 2005; and if he will make a statement.
Answer

The available turnover data for the UK marketing sector are given in the following table as defined by the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC 2003). Data are only available at the UK level and are not available before 1995. Marketing has been defined as ‘market research and public opinion polling’ and ‘advertising.’
