St Andrews Agreement

- asked Her Majesty's Government:Whether the date for devolution of policing and justice to a Northern Ireland Executive was a feature of the St Andrews agreement of 2006; and, if so, what was agreed.

Paragraph 7 of the St Andrews agreement made clear that it was the view ofthe British and Irish Governments that the implementation of that agreement should be sufficient to build the community confidence necessary for the Assembly to request the devolution of policing and criminal justice by May 2008.
