To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what estimate she has made of the cost to her Department of appeals against initial decisions by entry clearance officers on visa applications for each month in 2006.

Answer

There is no separate calculation that shows the actual cost of an appeal against a specific decision to refuse an entry clearance.
