Local Governance Reform

- To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government whether indirectly elected local authority leaders will be able to be removed from full council by a motion of no confidence under her Department’s proposals for reform of local governance.

Our proposals provide that a council may remove an indirectly elected leader from that office if its constitution allows this.
