People Trafficking

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what recent representations he has received on people trafficking; and if he will make a statement.
Answer

[holding answer 18 January 2007]: The Home Office are currently working on an action plan on human trafficking to be published in the next few months. This process requires consultation with a number of stakeholders and agencies on a regular basis these cover a wide range of trafficking issues from prevention to the support and protection of victims.
