To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many fixed penalty notices were issued in Chorley for using hand-held mobile telephones when driving a motor vehicle in each year since the offence was introduced.

Data are not available at either local authority and or constituency level.Available information taken from the annual Home Office publication "Offences relating to motor vehicles, England and Wales Supplementary tables", for the Lancashire police force area, from 2003 to 2004 (latest available) is provided in the table.2005 data will be available later this year.
