- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what progress has been made in approving evidential roadside breathtesting devices.

[holding answer 18 April 2007]: We are currently finalising a type approval guide for evidential roadside breathtesting devices. Once the guide is available it will be for manufacturers to prepare devices in accordance with the guide and submit them for approval. We hope this will happen later this year.
