Crime: Prison Officers

- asked Her Majesty's Government:Why no information is held centrally on the number of prison officers convicted of offences of corruption or other offences relating to their duties, when such information is held on the number of police officers so convicted.

The value of central collection of information on staff prosecutions or convictions will be considered as part of the improvement plan to strengthen the Prison Service’s approach to tackling corruption.
