Roads: Repairs and Maintenance

- To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether the tunnelling machine used in the A3 Hindhead improvement can be used in future road improvement schemes.
- Answer

The A3 Hindhead improvement scheme will not be using a tunnel boring machine for tunnel construction. The excavators and associated support equipment that will be used would be suitable for use in future road improvement schemes.
