Land Drainage: Crops

- To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what assessment he has made of the role of land drainage in crop production.

I am not aware of any recent work to assess the role of land drainage in crop production.The impact of land drainage on crops will vary depending on the soil type and crop type, and we would expect this to be for the individual landowner to assess.
