- To set out evidence on which FCO statement on fourth page of Depts pamphlet, "Britain in the Community: Europe in 1990s" that minimisation of immigration checks is a major objective of Community & list checks which it is proposed to remove. - Includes ref to articles 3(c) & 8a of treaty of Rome & fact that the then Home Sec explained position during debate on intra-Community frontiers on 4 May 1989.
