Business question from Dawn Butler (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 22 November 2007. It occurred during Business statement on Business of the House.

Business of the House

My right hon. and learned Friend will be aware that we are approaching the end of the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade legislation, and there has been plenty of talk in the House about having an annual remembrance day for slavery, in line with the holocaust memorial day. Will she inform the House whether there is need for further debate, or are we in agreement that that should take place?
