- To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what plans he has to improve the level and consistency of provision of purposeful activity in prisons.
- Answer

The standard core day to be introduced from April 2008 will provide a greater level of consistency and certainty to the time prisoners spend undertaking purposeful activity.
