Assets Recovery Agency

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what the annual running costs were of (a) the Assets Recovery Agency and (b) the Serious and Organised Crime Agency in each of the three years for which figures are available.

[holding answer 3 March 2008]: Net expenditure by the Assets Recovery Agency for the last three years for which figures are available is as follows:

2004-05 14.0
2005-06 16.5
2006-07 13.5

SOCA's resource funding in 2006-07 was £391.6 million, its first year of operation.
