National e-Crime Unit

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when she expects the National e-Crime Unit to be launched.

[holding answer 31 March 2008]: The Government have received a business case from ACPO regarding the possible creation of a national electronic crime unit. The Government are considering the possible options for tackling this issue, and will be arranging a meeting with law enforcement agencies in the near future.
