Police: Speed Limits
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many police vehicles were recorded by speed cameras in each of the last three years, broken down by police force; how many police officers received notification of intended prosecution; how many such prosecutions were (a) proceeded with and (b) subsequently dropped; and if she will make a statement.

The information is not collected centrally.The law allows vehicles being used for a police or other emergency service purpose to exceed a speed limit if observing it would be likely to hinder achievement of their purpose.
