Drugs: Misuse

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many hand swab drug tests were undertaken by police in each London borough in the last period for which figures are available.
- Answer

Compulsory screening tests of suspected drug drivers can only be conducted by means of a device of a type approved by the Secretary of State. No such device is at present available.
