- To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families what percentage of pupils in secondary schools in (a) Chorley and (b) other areas in Lancashire were classed as non-persistent truants in the most recent period for which figures are available.

The available information relates to pupil enrolments not classed as persistent absentees (pupils who are absent for more than 20 per cent. of possible sessions of attendance) and is given in the following table.
