Organised Crime: Crime Prevention

Question: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proportion of funding from the Tackling Gangs Action Programme has been allocated to Greater London.

Answer: The Tackling Gangs Action Programme committed £1.5 million of funds to build on enforcement, community reassurance, risk management and Third Sector delivery in neighbourhoods within Birmingham, Liverpool, London and Manchester where guns and gangs have caused serious harm. Over £573,000 of this funding was allocated for work in parts of London. A further £1 million is being allocated to the four areas for enforcement, intelligence, safeguarding, prevention, and community reassurance work.
