Alcoholic Drinks: Misuse

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what discussions she has had with the Chancellor of the Exchequer on the effects of the changes to alcohol duty announced in the 2008 budget on (a) binge drinking, (b) general levels of alcohol consumption and (c) underage drinking.

The Home Secretary has regular discussions with ministerial colleagues about all aspects of policy. However, taxation is a matter for the Treasury.
