Road Traffic Offences: Fixed Penalties

Question: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department pursuant to the answer of 17 July 2008, Official Report, column 608W, on road traffic offences: fixed penalties, if she will place in the Library a copy of the proposal from the Association of Chief Police Officers; and if she will make a statement.

Answer: The proposal was contained in a paper submitted to the Fixed Penalty Procedures Working Group, which is chaired by the Home Office and brings together representatives from across Government and the criminal justice system who have an interest in fixed penalties.
