- Give for each police area, how many crimes of violence against person, cases of burglary, cases of theft or handling of stolen goods, cases of criminal damage, & cases of fraud or forgery were reported; how many cases were detected; % change since 1978 in crimes & successful detection. - Includes table & ref to table 32 of Criminal Statistics, England & Wales, 1978 (Cmnd 7670) & table 7 of HO statistical bulletin, issue 6/88 (in Library). Figures for offences 1987 to be published in Criminal Statistics, England & Wales, 1987 later this year
