NHS: Private Sector

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health with reference to paragraph 11 of his Department’s equality impact assessment on NHS patients who wish to pay for additional private care, which private treatments currently unavailable will be made available on the NHS.
Answer

The future use of specific interventions within the national health service will depend on a variety of factors, including recommendations made by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.
