Local Authorities: Surveillance

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what response she has made to the Interception of Communications Commissioner on her proposals for local authorities to make greater use of their powers to intercept communications.

Local authorities cannot intercept communications under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and there are no plans for them to do so.
