Business of the House

The House authorities are in the process of formulating the data for the last five years for Members’ expenses, to put them into the public domain in a proper manner. As the hon. Lady can imagine, it is a major undertaking, and the authorities are working on it, with additional staff, as fast as they can. At the same time, they are paying out current expenses, which we do not want to be delayed. That work is very much under way. May I take this opportunity to congratulate the hon. Lady on her excellent contribution on the Speaker’s Conference last night?
