CORE Electoral Database

- To ask the Secretary of State for Justice whether a privacy impact assessment will be produced for the CORE electoral database.

Government Departments have committed as part of the Data Handling Review to undertake privacy impact assessments (PIA) on all projects that involve the processing of personal data. Once the CORE system requirements have been defined in 2009, a PIA will be undertaken.
