Housing: Immigrants

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what her most recent assessment is of the impact of net migration on housing demand in England over (a) the next 20 years and (b) periods beyond 20 years; and when she next expects to revise those assessments.
Answer

I refer the hon. Member to the answer given on 12 May 2008, Official Report, columns 1396-97W.Projections have not been made beyond 2026.New 2006-based household projections are expected to be published in 2009. These will be based on the 2006-based population projections produced by the Office for National Statistics.
