Foreign Languages: GCE A-level

- To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how many pupils achieved an A level in a foreign language in each of the last 10 years.

There were 1,390,670 pupils that had special educational needs that did not have statements, this represents 17.2 per cent. of pupils on roll across all schools. The figures are taken from the 'Special Educational Needs in England: January 2008' Statistical First Release, the latest of which can be found online at:"http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/rsgateway/DB/SFR/s000794/index.shtml."
