Business question from Philip Hollobone (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 5 February 2009. It occurred during Business statement on Business of the House.
Business of the House
With my constituency under six inches of early morning snow, making minor roads impassable, my constituents understand why all the local schools are closed today. However, they do not understand why half the local schools were closed on Tuesday, when the roads were icy but passable. Will the Leader of the House make sure that there is a topical debate next Thursday and that the debate is on Britain's reaction to adverse weather conditions?
