- To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how many and what percentage of schools with a specialism in science offer single science GCSEs.

The Department does not hold information on the subjects offered by schools at key stage 4.Of all schools with a specialism in sciences, 310 (74.8 per cent.) entered at least one pupil in each of the physics, chemistry and biology at GCSE¹ in 2008."¹ Only GCSEs have been counted.""Source:""Achievement and Attainment Tables' database."
