Olympic Executive

Question
To ask Her Majesty's Government what is the Government Olympic Executive.
Answer

The Government Olympic Executive (GOE) is part of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and is charged with ensuring that the London 2012 Games are delivered on time, on budget and deliver long-term benefits for the whole of the UK. It is the only body overseeing the entire Olympic project and has teams that are specifically focused on the areas of build and finance, staging, communications and legacy.
