Police: Leyton

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what funding has been provided to the Metropolitan Police in Leyton and Wanstead constituency in each of the last five years; and what initiatives have been introduced by the police in the constituency in each of those years.
Answer

The Government allocate funding to police authorities as a whole. The allocation of resources and the management of the police estate in Leyton and Wanstead constituency is a matter for the Metropolitan Police Commissioner and the Metropolitan Police Authority, who are responsible for assessing local needs.The information requested on what initiatives have been introduced by the police in the constituency is not held centrally.
