Deen International

Question
To ask Her Majesty's Government further to the Written Answer by Lord West of Spithead on 7 May (WA 145), how much funding (a) the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, (b) each of its agencies, and (c) non-departmental public bodies, have given to (1) the British Muslim Forum, and (2) Deen International, in each of the past five years.
Answer

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has provided the following funding to Deen International over the past five years: financial Years 2005 to 2007: no funding; financial Year 2007 to 2008: £61,875; financial Year 2008 to 2009: £597,562; and financial Year 2009 to 2010: no funding to date No additional funding has been provided by agencies or non-departmental public bodies associated with the FCO. No funding has been provided to the British Muslim Forum.
